Afrobeat, jùjú and highlife from Lagos. Horn-driven, percussion-heavy, built on call-and-response — a live show conceived as a communal ritual, not a performance.
Olúségun is a Lagos-born saxophonist, vocalist, and storyteller leading Olúségun and The Stallion, an Afrocontemporary band rooted in Yoruba culture and the everyday poetry of Lagos life.
His music draws a direct line from the golden age of Nigerian bandleaders — the call-and-response phrasing of King Sunny Adé, the social commentary of Ebenezer Obey, the horn-driven urgency of Fela Kuti — filtered through modern Afrobeat production and delivered in both Yoruba and English.
Olúségun and The Stallion are not just entertainers — they are a movement. Their mission: to awaken, uplift, and unite through music.
Selected singles and the debut album, spanning 2024–2026 — a body of work moving from early Afrobeat singles into the full-length statement of The Beginning.
Each show moves through traditional call-and-response, tight horn sections, live percussion, and Yoruba folklore. The band operates as both orchestra and griot — taking the audience through emotion, celebration, and consciousness.
